I totally agree with you, but some people do not like to have BR`S in their houses, that is the plain truth of it, while it is not right that we BR`s are treated this way it happens, and if at the end of a tenancy agreement they decide not to renew someones contract, and follow the protocol of the agreement there is nothing that we can do. As I have already said in 2 of my other posts, if you have read them, it is entirely up to you what you do and I hope everything works out for you.

Hello 1inamillyon, This is an emotive subject, and it's so hard to answer a question as this. We all have had different experiences with landlords.

Personally I would tell them in June just before you go bankrupt, explain everything especially if you want to stay there long term with your family, if it was short term I wouldn't. If you were renting a house to people would you wish to know? The OR has contacted landlords on numerous occassions whether this is right or wrong, wouldn't it be nice for the landlord to say 'yes I am aware of the situation'.

    Please don't be too upset.
    Best wishes

in my case I too was up to date with my rent but the OR was very nice but said she had no choice but to tell my landlord I was BR,she said she would be asking them for a copy of my contract an also telling them i was BR,I said i could give her a copy of my contract to prove rent cost etc but she said she had to speak to them, not sure if she did or not as I never heard from the landlord,it seems different ORs see the rules different way,I know before my BR the last thing I wanted was people knowing but as soon as i was BR the presure went way and I was so glad that people knowing was not as big a problem any more,if i were you i would tell your landlord if for nothing else just to stop you worrying about them ever finding out, wait till after your BR when you feel loads better, take your proof of good rent paying and I'm sure it will be fine.
