NTL - watch your direct debits

I complained about my set top box a couple of months ago ( got a reduction in price and 2nd set top box rental for free & a cable modem) which was all OK.
BUT when they set me up the modem they said I needed to pay on a seperate direct debit (DD). I was suspicios and sure enough they took 2 payments. I will complain again (and naturaly expect a reduction in price- will let you know) BUT it is worth just checking thay aren't double charging yourselves!

TV and phone billed seperatly from cable broadband. You should have 2 direct debits set up, they have not done anything wrong0 -
I had been paying one dd for years including broadband, but when they upgraded my speed they said I needed a separate cable modem and as a result, they had to set up a separate dd for broadband. Two payments are now taken but for the same overall price, therefore no problem (however, seems a little expensive on their part - surely it would be cheaper to take one payment?).

They took a charge for Broadband on both direct debits.
So check the direct debit that you pay for TV / Phone to ensure that the amount does not include your Internet charges.
Thanks

no debymark it will show broadband on both but you should be paying buy 2 direct debits. Add up both direct debits, is that the amount you expect to pay or is it more. Have a look and see.0

They have admiter a !!!! up, refunded it reduced my charges to £9.99 and because I was going to go to AOL offered to match their free wireless router deal. Crediting my account with the amount I spent on that.0
