Burning smell in one room

Last night, my daughter had been in her room for about an hour when she came down to tell us she could smell burning.
Me and Hub could also smell it in her room, but nowhere else. We felt her plug sockets/surrounding wall for heat/smell, but couldn't detect the source. as a precaution, we switched off her TV and light and opened the window. Within 5minutes the smell was gone. And when we turned the appliances back on, it didn't reoccur.

This is not the first time this has happened, but we have never been able to find a source. it doesn't happen regularly - it's probably months since the last time.....

Last time, Hub put it down to dust on her DVD player/tv burning - he said that's what it smelt like to him. It wasn't a wood burning or plastic burning smell. THB it sment like burning electricals to me.

Does anyone have any ideas what it could be??

TBH, i'm not even convinced the smell was coming from the TV, but even so, why wouldn't it smell all the time??

its just that the TV will be the chief suspect.
why does it not do it all the time? all electronics/PCBs can be very weird sometimes.

Why not move the TV into another room and see if it smells when you turn it on?

There was a burning smell in my kitchen last night. No other room, just the kitchen.

    Hi

Is the kitchen below the room?
Or another room with inset lights?
They can get very hot if left on for a long time, or one is burning out possibly.

You got to get through what you've got to go through to get what you want but you got to know what you want to get through what you got to go through.
