As this forum is powered by vBulletin, how about enabling Tapatalk?

I'm no forum techie or anything (nor do I have any association with Tapatalk) but I use Tapatalk on my iPhone to access a number of message boards - it's a much faster and easier way to access boards than browsing via Safari, which I find slow and unwieldy.

Although the OP's question is about access to the whole MSE site (not just the forum), I think being able to access the forums via something like Tapatalk would be really useful. It would also be free (and very quick) to implement on MSE's side.

on the subject of MSE and iPhones.... if I am at home using the wifi, I can get on MSE no problems. But if I try to get on it with the 3G, it diverts to an Orange page saying 'orange safeguard - adult content' and won't let me on?? Any ideas?

Log into your orange account and disable the content lock thingy in account settings

Thanks have done it, can't get it to connect to the web at the moment but will check it later when I have a better signal.

Works fine on my 5800 just a bit slow to load due to heavy graphic usage every page

Moneywise magazine website has an app, most of it is news formatted to be read on the iPhone - be good to have the MSE weekly e-mail and news on an app even if nothing else. The e-mail pulls a LOT of new members to the forums, surely an app would only add to that? Bear in mind it is young people who are most into smartphones, IMO these are exactly the people MSE should be targeting as they aren't learning budgeting in school or at home. Be interesting to know the demographic of the weekly e-mail recipients.
