    I used tar remover when my car got splattered with tar, sure it worked and im sure i didn't use anything else
  • Autoglym Tar Remover worked a treat on my car, and the tar had been there for months.

    You do need to leave the tar removers for a couple of minutes for them to dissolve the tar.

    I'm an x signwriter if you go into a local vehicle graphics shop and ask them if you can get some tar and glue remover they may let you have some it's not the same as the stuff in B&Q etc and will shift anything without damaging paint work. Only available through specialist trade suppliers otherwise Cat

    1. Clean off the area with soap and water.
    2. Step 2
      Apply one of the following household items to the area: creamy peanut butter, butter, vegetable oil, mayonnaise or bath oil.
    3. Step 3
      Let it sit for 24 hours to soften the tar.
    4. Step 4
      Wipe with a clean cloth.
    5. Step 5
      If that does not work, apply one of the following directly to the area: WD-40, kerosene or mineral spirits.
    6. Step 6
      Let stand for 5 minutes.
    7. Step 7
      Wipe with a clean cloth until clear.
