I've got leftover scabby turtles for tea - some cheese ones and some corned beef. Can't wait- I'm starving! Thanks so much to whoever it was that named them scabby turtles- been making them for years and never had a proper name for them! Scabby turtles is wonderful- especially when OH asks in the middle of Mr M's checkout queue what we're having for dinner that night :D

That's not the worst question you could be asked in a supermarket. When my DS was 3 has asked me when he was going to get a hairy bottom!! We were in the doughnut isle at the time. Mortified.....just a lot :D

It's Luc's potato/onion/whatever's in the fridge with whisked egg poured over it.

It's the cooked on need a chisel to get them off bits I want to not have to deal with! I'll give it a go with baking paper. The worst that can happen is that I end up having beans on toast for tea instead!

If you smother it in butter, it won't stick. Works for everything. Except men...
hmmmmm, anything more exciting in my life other than food? *ponders* Nope.

Sorry I havent read back just yet but I just wanted to get this off my chest........

I have just been to see my beautiful Grandad, who I speak of regularly and I am heartbroken.

In the last few weeks we have noticed a slurring of his speach and confusions/ forgetfulness which has been checked out and has been deemed as normal wear and tear of the brain (he has had all the tests for anything nasty too) but it doesnt comfort me:(

He has been my main Father figure through me life, always dependable, a beautiful person who leads such a simple life.

He lost his wife, my Grandmother when she was only in her late 40s and has neither looked for or found love again, always content with his own company until they are together again.

But now he is a shadow of his former self, he is so confused and I can no longer hold a conversation with him, this has happened so quickly.

I am utterly heartbroken and am sat here weeping for him and for myself.....

Sorry if I have brought the thread down:(

As others have said - check for infection. Many infections can cause symptoms like that.

Also, check his diet. Brains need fat. Without fat to make the insulating sheath around the neurons, they leak.

Was it the hole that prompted him?
