Hi guys.
Wondering if anyone can help me. Im looking to book a holiday to Dubai for 7 nights for me and my 2 brothers. The best deal ve found so far (ive only searched online yet) is £326 at al hamra beach resort. Anyone know whether i could get a better seal or a better place to stay
Thanks

When are you planning on going? It is often cheaper in July and August but there is a reason. It can hit 50 degrees C and is basically too hot to go outside!
Also, does the £326 include your flights? There are a few hotels on Travelzoo at the moment
http://uk.holidays.travelzoo.com/africa-middle-east/ If you go bed and breakfast, quite a few of the hotels and retaurants do all you can eat (and drink) buffets for a set price - just be careful though if you make the most of one of these as the local police can be extremely strict if you appear to be drunk in public. Get straight into a taxi and straight out and into your hotel at the other endIf you think you are too small to make a difference, try getting in bed with a mosquito!

Al Hamra resort is not actually in Dubai - it is around an hours drive away.
I can help you further if I know when you are going, how long for, what you wish to go to Dubai for ie just sunbathing and lying around pools, sightseeing etc.
Also what your budget is for the hotel and eating and drinking as flights are around £300 mark normally.
Let me know further

£300 is rather cheap. Are you sure it includes flights and hotel?
We stayed in Dubai and we paid £100/nt for a central apartment hotel which to be honest was a bit of a dump, and our flights were just over £300.:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0 -
the only thing related to travel in dubai for under £300 i ever got was a flight back in 2003 for £290!! I would be surprised if you found anything cheaper than you have, and if it like a previous poster said, it will be way out of town, traffic can be bad if you want to be in town so you do need to consider what you want from the holiday.
I agree you get great deals july/aug but everyone else leaves during that time as it is unbearably hot. I found even at end of sept it was hitting 40c, and may 35c upwards.0 -
All I can say is give http://www.qholidays.co.uk/ a call as I've used them in the past.
If they can't help, they'll be able to advise.
The price you have seems to be quite good.0 -

If you go onto Trip Advisor there is lots of info - not just reviews on hotels but also a travel forum for each country. If you post on there you will have experts who will be happy to help direct you. Give as much info as to what you want out of the holiday and you'll get good help. The "experts" on the Dubai forum are great.MTC NMP Membership #62 - made it back to size 12 after my children & I'm staying here!0

It will be hard to 'chill out' in Dubai with the temperatures in June at times akin to hell - and if your brothers are indeed 'tight wads' then you are certainly going to the wrong place.
I used to go there frequently - before all of the tacky hotels sprouted up and the invasion of Chavs. Sadly, it has now become far too expensive and 'Vegasy', (although getting there is relatively cheap).
And as for the Dubai refugee camp AKA Dubai airport....... I forfeited thousands of Emirates Skywards miles as I deserted EK just to avoid that hell hole of a place.
I certainly think you should see the place and you may find it to your liking, however, many find the Marmite factor comes into play - you will either love it or hate it!
Enjoy anyway, and I hope my personal views will not put you off your trip.0 -
Speaking as a 'chav' (definition please previous poster) please dont let previous posters opinion put you off going to Dubai. You can spend as little on food as you want or as much. Drink is expensive but OP doesnt drink so not a problem. It is hot in June but not unbearable and the airport is not great but not that bad. I agree that you either love Dubai or hate it and I think women tend to like it more than men as men are used to being waited on hand and foot and being brought food and drink at regular intervals!! (and of course generally women prefer the shopping malls).
The Arabian Courtyard would be a good choice to stay in Dubai itself as it has many reasonably priced restaurants around and they do free shuttles to the beach and malls and it is a good price.
If you stayed at your original choice you would be confined to eating there with probably expensive prices, and a taxi into Dubai is around £50 each way from there!
Hope this info helps ( must start packing my white stilettos and bling jewellery for Wednesday!)
