The dress is FAB! But I'd be very wary from ebay! Have you tried Milly or Landy???bigmomma051204 wrote: »Wedding twin! I am getting married on 9th October 2010! :j

Not sure how much you are looking to spend but this site has some beautiful dresses and a choice of colours, http://gothicweddingdresses.webs.com/apps/webstore/products/show/1267050
I got my dress off ebay, used, but so cheap! I use ebay a lot but to be honest I tend to stay away from sellers with any negative feedback (unless its for something trivial) especially if they are shops. I suppose I think I'm unlucky and if anyone is going to end up with a bad buy it will be me!!
If you're looking for a cheap dress then Landy or Milly seem to be the way to go, they will both give you quotes if you email them with a picture of a dress that you like, you don't have to chose one from their site. Make sure you leave yourself with plenty of time though as they do take a while to make and be prepared to pay customs on top of the final price.
Good luck with the search and congrats on setting the date

You could always buy a traditional wedding dress from ebay, then get it dyed to your choice of colour. In general used wedding dresses on ebay come with a picture of the last person wearing it, so you get a really good idea of what it looks like in the flesh.
I was going to buy a dress from china, but a friend of the family bought one for a prom and it was a disaster. Cheap thin material, shoddy workmanship. She was absolutley gutted.:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0 -
I love purple so I'd say go for it but not sure about the seller. I don't speak german but stuck the negs into google to translate it for me, it's not brill but it gives you an idea what they mean
1st neg feedback says - very dissatisfied dress was broken and no agreement is possible with the seller
2nd- wrong size specification, the return is still no money back. Fraud.
3rd-dress does not look as beautiful as described, shipping very late.
4th-Size does not match
5th-allegedly discontinued would pay for it does not produce salable
6th-the seller refuses to send the dress to him, the price is too low
7th- in English-Avoid! very poor fit, returned for refund, said didn't arrive, ebay had to refund
8th -broken merchandise, return after consultation (vers. Pak.), No money back, unserious!.
9th- measurements of demand and supply were wrong. No exchange, despite Beweisfot
What is your budget & what size are you someone might be able to find something gorgeous for you. Oh and purple & teal will be gorgeous together.Booo!!!0 -
I LOVE the color! Seems like we need to find you the same dress from a different seller?0

Some nice dresses on the site that Maydot posted , I don't know them & suspect they may be selling frocks from China (not necessarily a bad thing though) looks like they will make the dress in the colour you choose, I think this would be gorgeous in purple. Looks like it would cost £259 with £10 for shipping.
This one is £209 might be nice too.Booo!!!0 -
I think they might be dresses from China too, but if you look on their contact page they are registered as a business in Norfolk and say they only have stockrooms and dressmakers premises there. Hmmm...might google them and see if I can find any customer reviews. Nice photos of real brides wearing their dresses though, I like the one of the bride wearing her hiking boots through the snow

EDIT: found a review, but only one, but at least its positive! http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/chatroom/topic/2868100 -
Stunning dress!! Loving the colour. As to the seller, they have heaps of good feedback and very few negs. The 98% comes from the neutrals, which actually appear to mostly be from europe, which may be more to do with sizing being different. Couple of comments mention they come up a little small, so if you are borderline in sizes may be safer to go up rather than down!
Maydot, I would bet money on them being made in China, from the posting its very similar to other 'sourced from china' sellers. I dislike the hiding behind a UK address but that is just a personal bugbear!! Most people are happy with them!:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0 -
Thank you for everyone's advice and opinions.

I decided not to go with the dress I posted.
However, I found a gorgeous one which is so me and I just ordered it!
I am so excited right now! Here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110509976924&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
