Dress opinion please? :)

Heya everyone. :D

H2B and I have finally set a date of 9th October 2010! So exciting. :D

This is the dress I have my eye on: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=270499741394&Category=63861&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26its%3DI%26otn%3D2

I was a bit wary about buying from Ebay but from what I've heard, it's not really bad.

The feedback of the seller is good but I was wondering what others opinions are on:

A) The dress itself and
B) The fact that it's on Ebay and the seller. :o

Thanks in advance everyone.

Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

Hehe. :D I love it! Our colour theme is purple and teal (purple being my fav colour and teal H2B's).

H2B and I are quite different lol so we wanted our wedding to reflect that.:rotfl:

  • Lovely, lovely dress, most of the feedback is positive, I'd want to try and translate some of the negative comments to get a clearer picture of why they put a neg.

I just got married this weekend in purple... actually wore an evening dress from Debenhams - have posted the link on here before, it's one of their debut ones and was a really deep bluey-purple colour.

After much parental eyebrow raising at my colour of choice - everyone admitted it actually worked amazingly well - and I got to the reception to find a cake-topper of me and hubby - with purple dress down to all the detailing of the flowers on it!

The dress is gorgeous so is the colour, picture isnt too good though and you cant see the back HOWEVER it will not come looking that big, it will be delivered in the teeniest bag ever and will be made of very cheap fabric and possibly very dodgy sewing. Very thin (not usual wedding dress or any decent dress quality) and not very special feeling, the under lining is awful, kinda feels like your wearing a very thin sleeping bag. I would prepare to be slightly disapointed when it arrives.

(i have had a similar experience from another china seller with a very similar dress, i was devastated as mine was a gorgeous dress in the pic, just that the actual dress didnt live up to it)

ETS: i just scrolled down and it is the same dress i ordered but i got it in pink and mine didnt have the diamantees on it and its nasty, thers no boing or support in it, the hems are all woobly and not sewn very well at all, the top of the dress is a very thin organza type net and isnt very thick and is very cheap feeling i really dont want to put you off but i just dont want you to wait, then be disapointed and then have a nightmare getting your dosh back.

And the free shawl is basically just a strip of fabric, so not really worth anything and this dress seems to have a decimel point missong as its definately not worth £499 more like £4.99.

BUT IF YOUR HAPPY WITH THAT THEN GO FOR IT.
