Yep it's true - detailed comparisons/analyses at:
http://cid-99aa6cf1226facfe.skydrive.live.com/browse.aspx/o2%20Broadband%20-v-%20Be%20There%20Broadband
where I include tips about getting the most from an o2 PAYG that you only get to claim the discount and save money (as I did)...
because it even works IF you need to GET an o2 PAYG and then top it up £10 every quarter to get the £5/m off - HOWEVER to be in pocket by £14+ you would need to actually USE the credit you'd bought (ie 4x£10 +10% bonus + other perks) as well as the credit o2 give you (£50) if you sign up by 31/3.
It is possible o2 MIGHT extend the offer as ORIGINALLY they said it was for only o2 Premium/Pro and to 30 April, but they quickly went to Std/Prem/Pro to 31 March! Of course the cashbacks might alter too though ?!?!
And finally don't overlook the idea of o2 Premium - ie the full upto 24Mbps synch service (if your line is short/good enough, ie not capped at 8Mbps synch max as the o2 Standard package is) - it's only £20 net for a year currently!

That's really impressive!
I found a referral that rewards both new and existing customers last week.

Clearly not as attractive as cashback but it gives existing customers an incentive to sign up their friends and family I guess!0 -
Hello,
I was wondering if in the past, O2 changed their offers every month? I'm definitely going to order Home premium broadband, but I'm stuck with my Virgin Mobile for another 7 months, and even if I get an O2 mobile, I really have little use for 3x£10 PAYG + £50 of calls. I was more attracted by the straightforward 2 free months, even if it was a lower saving, but missed it thanks for BT being too slow installing new line. Have they continuously offered good deals month after month in the past and therefore should I wait for another 4 days for the next offer, ot should I jump on this offer and make the most of it?
Also, does anyone know if the £50 call credit is valid for ever, or if there is a time limit to use it? Cannot seem to find this info on the O2 website. Thanks!0 -
its a good service, very quick I get between 7-8 mb , I took the premium one first then they sent me an email telling me to downgrade if I liked. so have the standard and still the same speed for me0
