Position of Thanks button

I'm sure I saw a discussion somewhere quite recently about moving the thanks button to the left hand side of the screen.

I have just accidentally thanked a post because having clicked to turn the page over, my mouse pointer was directly in line with the thanks button, and being on a laptop with a very sensitive touchpad, it went off without my intention.

Now I am nervous of giving inappropriate thanks, so have to keep checking where my mouse pointer is in relation to the area of the text. I am all for the idea of moving it out of the vertical range of the page numbers, so is this still under review?

I think putting it in the middle would be a great idea. To the left it would be just above the Post Reply button for the last post on the thread, so one could be thanking that in error. I think the middle position is the safest.

yes, and maybe even up the top, under the post number will do :T

You have got one little miss, iv'e just thanked you, you don't see your own.
I thought the same at first.:D you have a edit button in it's place, so you cannot thank your self.:D
