Well done to the Passport office

I can not belive how fast we got our sons passport back after just 8 days via check and send at the post office.

We sent it off at the post office last tuesday and got it back today Wednesday so am very pleased with them as didnt think it would take just over a week to come back.:j

Thats decent service but you would have got it back just as quick if you had sent it off yourself and saved the PO fee

Doesn't beat our 5 days (including a weekend) for an adult renewal which I sent off myself! THat was just this month too. We think that either the fees are putting people off or they aren't travelling......

My son flew into London yesterday to get his passport renewed .Had an appointment for 11 got the passport back at 1pm. Lady said they are not busy at all just now. So maybe a good time to renew if needed.

Back in September 2005 I renewed my passport. Did the PO check and send thing at nearly 4 in the afternoon on the monday, and it arrived first thing wednesday morning, I was very impressed....though not quite so enamoured with the cost of renewing my passport in the first place :rotfl:

Why do people pay the PO to send their application, when it is cheaper and takes the same time to do it yourself?

I did it with the PO so i knew if would get there and if anything was wrong with the form it could be sorted before it being sent off.

Look at it this way -

You will send it Special Delivery £5.40, so for an extra £2.60 you can pay by credit/debit card there and then, know it is being sent via a secure mail and have the piece of mind knowing it is all correct.
