a nothing budget from a nothing government

the only reason this filth "may" not be voted out is because of

(a) the massive army of public sector wasters they created

(b) the massive army of benefit spongers they created

and

(c) the morons who can't vote conservative because Ben Elton told them maggie was bad in the 80's.

Ben Elton, the man who was so desperate for a lefty govt, when he got one he emmigrated to Australia (under Howard at the time). Maybe so he could do his useless stand up there, swapping maggie for howard. maybe if dave gets in, he'll come back to start his stand up career again.

Sometimes I think of the leftties quaffing champagne while reminiscing about when they saw The Mary Whitehouse Experience supported by Jo Brand in Hull Uni SU in 1991 and it makes me physically sick
  • It does seem to be the case that NuLab have wilfully created an expanded block of public-sector employees/students/scroungers who realise that they would be crazy to vote for anyone other than Labour.

No matter how hideously incompetent, wasteful and duplicitous the Labour party are, they will be guaranteed this block-vote - and they have increased it to such a degree since '97 that their grip on power will be difficult to shake. Especially since the BBC shudders at the idea of regime-change and will do anything to show the Conservatives in a bad light.

I am struggling to keep my lunch down at the thought that this collection of spiteful borderline retards might get the chance to continue screwing the country they are supposed to serve.

...and it makes me physically sick

The thought of Ed Balls having any post in power after the election makes me feel physically sick!

There's probably about 10 million twenty-somethings eligible to vote who have absolutely no idea who Ben Elton is...
  • As an aside, has the poor, cancer-ridden mass-murdering Libyan who helped blow up the plane over Lockerbie died yet - as we were promised he would? Or did Brown lie to us about that too?

Ive just looked at the main points... has there just been a budget or what... was it worth making a speech about it all?

there was nothing of any content apart from stamp duty... but this for FTBs only...

wont effect 90% of FTB's in my Area and probably in london, where prices start at 300k, it will have 0%... so 10% of very few transactions, all seems a bit pointless to me, although it does effect me, I don't consider myself to be needy, and what the market needs is a correction, not supporting... IMO
    Plan
    1) Get most competitive Lifetime Mortgage (Done)
    2) Make healthy savings, spend wisely (Doing)
    3) Ensure healthy pension fund - (Doing)
    4) Ensure house is nice, suitable, safe, and located - (Done)
    5) Keep everyone happy, healthy and entertained (Done, Doing, Going to do)

my point is why push for someone to buy their first house for 125k plus, when they could be pushing for home ownership full stop as in bring FTB's BACK, for someone probably earning less than average wage, and unable to save for a deposit, what help is there for them?

Why do I feel like the government has ignored the needy and instead directed its help at those probably earning over 40-50k?
I feel sorry for my friends, not myself.

  • Dear Cleaver - that's true. But Ben Elton wasn't the only one. How many right-of-centre standups have been given airtime by the BBC? Or were invited to No.10? You'll probably prove me wrong, but in my view - not many at all.

i can only think of two - jim davidson and that fat bloke - i can't think of his name. oh yeah, manning.

neither of whom were particularly funny. that said, there must be some conservative voting comedians that are funny, but we would never know.

you have to be a lefty to get on in the media.

    All the better for them.

Isn't Top Gear, one of the BBC's most popular programmes here and abroad, (inexplicably to my jaded eyes) fronted by the epitome of middle class, right wing, disgusted of Tonbridge Wells in Jeremy Clarkson?
