  • Hi Cleaver - you might be right about a lot of people not thinking about it, but I still think Horsey is speaking sense too. How often does the BBC advertise vacancies in the Times or Telegraph? Never. If the whole corporation is rammed with lefties (in thick-framed glasses), how can there possibly be an objective message? For instance, compare the amount of airtime given to the Ascroft story, compared with the 3 cabinet members who were 'cabs for hire'. I cannot understand how one billionaire avoiding (not evading) tax damages the country newarly as much as bent MPs on the take, and yet it was the story about Ashcroft which got more coverage. Wouldn't you say that is anti-Conservative bias???

Leaving aside from the fact that Basil Brush hasn't really been on TV for 15 years, are you aware of what you're saying here and how mental it sounds?

are you telling me that those who are right wing are incapable of looking on a website? the bbc advertises all jobs. unlike independent television production. also, the content of independent productions is more likely to reflect the opinions of the paymasters than the producers. is that any better?

  • Hi Ninky - The BBC pretends to be objective and gets all sulky when it's accused of being anything else. At least commercial broadcasters don't try to mislead us.

You are right - people can read websites for vacancies, BUT surely the fact that BBC jobs are only advertised in left-of-centre papers must tell you what views they would prefer their employees to have. Clearly.

not really. this is the same for many media jobs - bbc and private sector. when i was an undergrad you looked in the media guardian and trade press for jobs. as well as sending speculative enquiries to companies.

you normally speak sense, but you are incredibly naive on this one. if any comedian mentions they vote tory, they are finished. you must be left wing, you must read the guardian. the bbc is horrendously biased to labour. the tragedy is, as you say, most 20 year olds don't even realise they are being brainwashed by pravda, i mean bbc.

they even start brain washing kids on basil brush by calling the horrible candidate in the school election "dave" and making his party colour "blue".

riddled with lefty cancer from top to bottom.

the one thing i do agree with you on, whole heartedly, is that you must have trendy glasses as well. a left wing bias is not enough. you need thick framed black glasses, and preferably a suit jacket over jeans and a scarf.
I have never seen or heard any of those things happening, the bbc is only biased when compared with the mail/telegraph etc and when i watch a comedian i could not care less who he/she votes for.
There is little difference between labour/conservative which is why they argue over nicked policies and who is going to do the same damm thing quicker

    Series 3 Camping

9/13. Basil and his pals look forward to a night's camping without any surprises.

Those left-wing cancer ridden puppets. We all know that camping is a metaphor for gay marriage. I hate these left wing, liberal, pointless made up fur foxes and all they stand for. I bet that camping trip was paid for by the taxpayer too. Grrr....

I must say that you have really raised a smile with me on this one. Here we are, all (presumably) adults, who have all sat down, turned on a computer, logged in to a website and spent our time debating whether a puppet, children's fox who has calamatous adventures is actually a symbol of the left-wing BBC.

Do you see what I mean now that outside of la-la internet forums this isn't really a major issue for people?

Anyway, of course a fox would be left-wing. Right-wing people go fox-hunting. If you had 300 Tories all on horse back chasing you through a forest with a pack of dogs and shotguns you'd be voting Labour.
