    Well no it isnt as the Bank have audit trails for situations like this and have provided this audit trail.

    If the bank journals etc balance it means the money was dispensed and someone must have taken it in which case it is unfortunately the OP's lost for leaving the ATM mid action.

    I would suspect that the machine is showing a even balance because its credited teh money back to you. So it thinks its correct and just a case of waiting for it to be redeposited back into your bank account.

    I've had this before as well with bank of scotland, was only £20-£30 pounds. Contacted them and they checked the machine confirmed there was my extra pennys in there and credited the amount to me ;)
