Think I have a similar question - but my firewall doesn't let me download .exe files (and I don't want to reduce the security setting).

Old Faithful we roam the range together,
Old Faithful in any kind of weather,

And the Boulevard’s white with clover,

You should use a download manager or just allow that one file to be downloaded.

I'm using .cda files (directly from a CD)

That is your problem! You need to convert the music files to mp3 format to play on an mp3 player.

I've always used windows media player to rip my cds to wma or mp3 format. WMA gives better compression for the same quality so I can fit more on my mp3 player.

the best i find is cdex

put in a cd, and rips them all to whatever you want, mp3, ogg, etc

and not to any speicific itunes .aac or windows .wma files

try it out, also if its a proper cd, it can download the track names to, and name them for you

    goodluck
