Ooooooh anoying buyer!

Well my first negative in 6 months came to me on Saturday. Well I remember this guy asking to pic up this DVD from my house after he won the auction, he lives in my town but I turned him down. So last weekend he paid me with paypal and I post the DVD Monday 24th 1st class. Yesterday he left me a neg saying that he was still waiting, it has really upset me this and I am very angry with him. Upon checking his address that he signed up to Paypal & Ebay with, hes not put his street number in, so yes we know whats happened. In my eyes hes in the wrong and I have give him a neg back and asked him fill out a feedback retract form and I will send him another DVD.

I am wrong for being this angry, I just don't want to know until I get that unfair neg removed from my account.

I think a well-thought reply to a neg will make you look good in the end.

    Eg...

Buyer had incorrect postal details. Didn't bother to contact me before negging.
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

I always consider how other users would view feedback. As a seller I would be very alarmed to see a neg to a buyer for having an incorrect address, and may even pull a bid from a buyer like that.

I've had my fill of people with invalid addresses. grrr.

Just out of interest, what was your reasoning for not wanting the buyer to collect? - personally, if I'm buying something locally I will always try & ask to collect as it saves the seller the hassle of posting & ensures that I will receive the item safely.

It is not a good idea for a female to have strangers call at her door when she could well be alone.

Apart from safety issues - there could be someone on night shift trying to sleep or a sick child or baby etc.

Well i'm not a fan of home pick ups as I post all my envelopes everyday anyway. I never wanted the inconvenience of arranging a day and waiting around too. The dvd was only very small and it never sold for much anyway. It was also a case of me losing money on the item if it was picked up, the extra bit of postage that I had I would say broke me even.

I look after everyone, I will make sure they get there item if not the first time then the 2nd time. The buyer could be extra upset with me because I said no to him picking it up, its a whole security issue with me too, why should I let strangers in my house?.....I'd rather post, that I do everyday.

I use ebay and Amazon purely because it is online. That means I can slob around in a sun dress without fear of upsetting my buyers. If my buyers expected to be able to come and collect then I would have to smarten up

I have allowed collection in the past mainly for breakable items where it saves me having to wrap something, oh, and some clothes when a semi celebrity wanted them ugently for a working cruise (she came with two minders and seemed miffed I had no idea who she was).

For small items like DVDs I would always refuse collection, it is actually simpler for me to add them to the mound of items to be posted, rather than make special arrangements for collection.
