How many Un-funded ISAs per year?

Options
Hi all,
It's now a little bit of a panic re: shoving this years (09-10) ISA allowance somewhere.

I know you can only have One ISA per tax year, But is that for New money?

I transfered from Scottish Widows to Aldermore, Aldermore won't allow any deposits after the transfer, so can I open a new ISA with A&L and fund with new cash before the deadline.

So whilst I will have opened 2 this tax year It's only 1 with any new funds.

Regards
Mumbles

Yes, transfers of 'previous' ISA money do not count and you can open a new ISA with the new money for this tax year. The rule is basically that 'new money' can only be paid into one ISA per year (or at least to one provider - I think that you can subdivide this between various ISA options with that same provider in some cases...).
