Thanks for your reply and I am not offended. Some people just can't wait to patronise and condescend. I just wish that they could answer the question put to the board instead of moralising. Again I did not give enough information for people to decide if i can afford a particular car or not. If you don't have anything constructive to say then dont't say it.

Again thanks for all the constructive replies. They have been of great help.

If honest opinion, discussion and advice from personal experience annoys you maybe internet discussion forums aren't for you. I was not making any moral judgement about what you were doing, just offering my 2 pence after reading your question, your signature and some of your other posts, just because you dont like what I say doesn't take away my right to say it. I didn't say you shouldn't do it, I just asked if you felt you really needed to do it. Thats the joys of living in a free country.

I'm afraid that I feel you are just a Troll looking for an argument, and no point did I give any indication that I trivialised safe driving.

I should point out that as a recently retired highways engineer and Road Safety Auditor I have quite a good concept of how driving standards and perspectives have a huge impact on road safety, I also have a full motorcycle licence so know what it's like to be a more vulnerable road user.

However if you wish to keep trying to be clever and misrepresent what I post, please carry on I know it makes you happy :rotfl:

    Best wishes

Here's my 2p - Inactive is far from being a troll. I have read many of his posts on here and he is well informed and usually good fun.

You are perfectly entitled to your 2p, just in this case my 2p differs :)

Not looking for any argument, just stating facts.;)

Umm what "facts" have you stated? Perhaps your definition of a fact and mine significantly differ?

I am not interested in your opinions on the state of my finances, I am interested in answers to the questions I asked. If you don't have an answer to my questions then butt out. Go and make yourself feel self important on someone Else's post.

  • Without trying to sound mean, Your question related directly to financial matters, Therefore people are going to enquire about YOUR FINANCES in order to give you the best advice that they can, And people will also make assumptions on the info that you show in your sig, whether it is accurate and in date or not.

On a side note I wouldn't bother buying a brand new car ever. That's me though, I'm just tight.

Perhaps, as you allude in your first post, your finances are in such poor condition because you are thick?
  • Fair enough. I'm off. I was only trying to be helpful though but if you think thats me trying to make myself feel important you're well far off the mark and I regret wasting my time reading your thread. Enjoy your debt:rotfl:

Exactly. From her posts she says she has 6some odd grand in credit card debt and 13 grand of loans that she is unhappy with the interest rate on and she is asking the best way to buy a 16-17 grand motor new and ready to depreciate on the nevernever with only 1500 down on it then gets stroppy when someone asks is that really a wise thing to do? hiilarious.;)
