"Thanks .. but, apparently, the Speedtouch 330 modem isn't compatible with Windows 7"
I don't have Windows7 but I'm sure the following facility will exist in it, as it does for Vista:
Locate the driver file and Right Click on it.
In the menu that is displayed, click on the Properties option.
Then Click on the Compatability tab
Tick the box marked "Run this program in Compatability Mode for:" and choose Vista or XP (whichever the driver was used successfully in last time).
Click all of the way out and Run the driver.
It should then work.
Those are the instructions for the same problem with files that won't run in Vista. There may be a slight variation for Windows7 but essentially it should be the same process.0 -

Thanks for the suggestion but I tried "Run this program in Compatability Mode for: XP" to no avail.
Fortunately, a friend has kindly given me a bb modem and I am now back online. I must say that Windows 7 made the process incredibly simple .. but I'm still not happy with the lack of customer service from Tesco.

Sorry my suggestion didn't work, but glad you're up and running now.0
