Don't worry if you miss this, there are free .rar programs available anyway (filzip for example - not tried it myself, but just a for instance). If you want just a simple zip program, try 'justzipit' - brilliantly siimple and free but .zip only http://free-backup.info/0

Remember that if you want to zip up a file in windows xp just right click the file and click "send to " compressed file.
Zip compression is built into xp.
I prefer rar as it has better file compression on certain types of files and better multiple volume spanning and tends to be faster.0 -
Even better, free and open source is 7zip. It handles 7 different types of file compression, creation and extraction.

Tugzip is free and support *.rar zip and many moe.
It is working better than winrar (my own opinion) so wht bother.Five exclamation marks the sure sign of an insane mind!!!!!
