I really feel for you OP. I've had endless jobs not done correctly, as ordered, or paid for and not finished. Its so demoralising.

I wouldnt be happy with your flooring or the damage. Ive had the same in my kitchen but was so fed up of yet another job not being done correctly I didnt complain when I should have done. Now I need new flooring a second time in the kitchen :(

you've paid for a carpet with one join it has three, you've got a broken bed,not you fault and you have a broken picture , get back to the shop and demand a carpet with one join or you want your money back, tell them to sort the picture frame and fix your bed don't settle for anything less. You've done nothing wrong.

Thanks guys, all a great help.
Louby-Lou, yes you can see the join, the wall is around 14ft wide and there should have been a 2ft strip running along it which i agreed with, but because he scorched it near the end he put a 2ft piece in,,,,then to match it he put a 2ft piece in the other end!! now i have a 2ft piece a 10ft piece then another 2ft piece, all with quite noticeble joints, it must have made sense to him. Very strange. To be fair he did work hard but he said he had never done a room that big which made me wonder how much experience he had, the fact he turned up with a 23ft roll of carpet on the roof of his car should have set alarm bells off, then he laid it out in the middle of the road and cut it to shape, he even allowed a woman and her 2 dogs to walk over it to get passed, then i saw a cat wondering over it,, my bloomin cream carpet!! if it wasn't mine i would find it funny!

I have seen some slats on ebay, hadn't thought of ikea, thanks for that, we have one down the road so i will pop in with my measurements.
    Thanks :T

You expected them to fit a Bedroom Carpet, with the bed still in it?
I had a bedroom carpet fitted last year. I explained that while I could move the other furniture I could not move the bed out. They were fine with that - said they were used to having to work round a bed and did a first class job.
