Depends entirely on the local mods, people do it on a voluntary basis so you can't always expect instant processing. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Thanks all, have just logged in there and have now been accepted into the group

Unfortunately the things I wanted are no longer available but I'm sure other things will come up for offer.0 -
The purpose of Freecycle is to keep stuff out of landfill. You getting free stuff is just a fringe benefit. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Yeah I know, but I'm moving out of the flat I share with my husband and just trying to get a few free bits and bobs for when I move. Haven't got too much money at the moment.
Thanks0 -
Good hunting then!No free lunch, and no free laptop

I have listed endless items in the last few days on my local freecyle. I'm moving house and giving away things that I don't really need, could sell if I could be bothered - but would rather help out local people.
What really hacks me off is that I get about 20 million messages (ok, a bit of an exaggeration) with sob stories about why they desperately want my item(s). so I angst over who to give things to and then they don't bleedy turn up to collect them
So my plea is for anyone who is offered things by a freecycler - please go and collect it or let them know if you can't so they can re-offer it.Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -
Simple way around that-give it to the first person to reply. No free lunch, and no free laptop
