I asked you to show us who had been fined for not getting consent to let ad i even quoted something you had said about landlord not getting consent, you never mentioned once about gas safety certificates in the post i quoted and then asked you.(look at post 180)

You can thank VIGILANT for evry post he makes he his very much like yourself and skates around the actual issue and not one of you have the answers.

Here i ask it in plain ENGLISH , Do you or anyone else who keeps on going on about not getting consent to let ever known any landlord have their home reposessed just BECAUSE THEY NEVER GOT CONSENT TO LET?

    just answer yes or no

Oh please god, is this really happening??

12 pages - not bad. Is anyone going to bring up the thorny issue of National Hunters? Where is boxer these days?
  • Just spoken to the Halifax again - an advisor from a different branch. She said what I suspected that it was not an in branch decision so there was nothing she could do.

She again said that if she saw evidence that it was on the market that they would grant me consent to let whilst it was selling...looks like I have no option but to get it on the market now.

Thanks for all of your opinions/advice.

My mortgage lender when they gave me consent to let said i couldnt rent to dss claiments, imigrants or students.

As you have consent to let, then the insurance isn't an issue for you personally.

Those that choose not to seek explicit approval for consent to let will be in a different position. So suggesting they go ahead regardless is reckless.

    Why is it thorny?

I worked for a large agriculutural group some 20 years ago. Every quarter representatives from the UK's top 15 companies had a "credit" meeting. At this names were put into the ring of "bad" debtors. Very open discussion and surprising how many peole round the table had come across the same names. Everybody also gave their their exposure to the said names.

NH although in a different market, works on the same principle. No business wants to deal with deceptive, fraudulent individuals. Shared data helps reduce bad debts. There's nothing sinister going on. Just plain business sense. You only need worry about them if you have something to hide.

Thats great news at least now you will get consent to let, its up to you if you sell bottom line if you dont accept the offer you can keep on renting it.

I would use a cheap online hip supplier, think you can get one for about 200 pound and then just shop around for a agent, just think if your lucky someone might come in with a offer 20,000 pound above your asking price.:T

It was a humorous post relating to the incessant mentioning of NH by a certain poster recently
