Carphone Warehouse trade ins?

Hey can anyone tell me how the carphone warehouse trade in works? The website description is very generic can anyone give me some real life in store advice?

    Can anyone please tell me how much they actually check the old mobile phone that you are trading in??

    No idea but its likely to be do the basic checks like water damage, the thing actually fires up and functions (i.e. makes calls), unlocked or locked, how much wear and tear there is to the body, any bruises ...... you would think.

    Yeah should be able to pass them no problem. I think they only require the mobile phone and not the box or charger or anything else from what their website states?

    Does anyone have any first hand experience?

    Yeah i work for them. Handset needs to turn on have no visible water damage or screen damage. And only the phone is needed. Prices tend to be very slightly less than on websites but then there is no messing about waiting for cheques. Money goes onto your debit card.

    About a minute. I take it your trade in is faulty? Whats the fault? Unless it obvious such as a red liquid indicator or a cracked screen its unlikely to be noticed

    Its a phone that decides to switch itself off every 10mins during a call other than that perfect condition. Does this - http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/mobiles/pay-monthly/apple-iphone/3g-tariffs come with £20 included on Orange PAYG.

    That would be fine. Normally you have to purchase twenty quid on top.
