Wickes Installation

Hi,
Had a quick search through the forum but couldn't find this.
Bought a bathroom from Wickes this time last year, and used their recommended fitter to install it, which was done in June 09. At completion, he presented me with the installation certificate, and explained that the Part P cert for electrics would follow. Being niave, I didn't realise that this should have been given to me at that time until afterwards when I rang him to see where it was. Fast forward to today, and I've had enough of him fobbing me off, so got in touch with Wickes (Preston if you're interested), who romised to look into it. As far as I can tell, he's spoke to the installation team, but thats it - I'm still waiting for some feedback.
Does anyone know any contact details for the "Installation Team", or failing that, their ceo - I'm fed up of being fobbed off:mad:
Edit: I'm aware of the contact page on Wickes.co.uk, but I'd like to get it to a person, and not just in a queue or auto-response.

Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Was your contract with the fitter or Wickes, you need to chase who the contract was with. No harm in going after Wickies a bit but if the contract was with the fitter then go after him.0

Everything was via Wickes. My DIY skills are less than zero, so I chose them as they did a full design and installation service. All quotes were done on Wickes paper, as was the completion certificate. I've tried chasing the installer, but he's fobbed me off enough times now hence trying instore.0

That's probably good then as it will be easier to chase Wickes than a one man band.0

do you know who the fitter is with (niceic, nappit,) or if not contact all of them and ask if they have a joe blogs on there list of approved installers.
then if he is approved contact there installation manager, he will be a manager who flits from store to store. he is the only one who can put some pressure on him, apart from the approved body.
i cant put the IS name on here and cant find a instant message button, probably right infront of me.0 -

Hi Ian
Whoa, you spoke to them TODAY. Give them a chance to look into it, as it has to go through the correct channels. (Store Manager to Installations Manager to fitter then to Support Centre is the fitter isn't playing ball)
There is no point escalating it further yet, give them a couple more days to come up with a solution for you and if you haven't heard back from them by Thursday night, drop me a PM with more details and I'll see what info I can pass on for you.If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

Sorry - I spoke to them in store nearly 2wks ago, and they were waiting on a call back from installation team. I'm giving them til tomorrow (that will be the 2 wk mark) before calling back. Thanks for the offer of help - I have a feeling I might need it0

No worries, just drop me a PM with more details on it (who you spoke to, fitters name, order number etc.) if you don't get a resolution. I'll then see if one of my old colleagues can help...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands
