Leaving sky - options

Posted this in TV section but got no response so thought I would ask here if anyone had any pointers?
I've just cancelled Sky as it was starting to cost us too much per month (£40 with phone calls, plus £12 BT line rental) we didn't really watch many of the channels anyway, although did really like the recording facility. They wouldn't offer me any incentive to stay either which was a bit rubbish
Anyway, I'm looking for recommendations for phone calls and broadband packages, would also consider TV too if reasonable price, but will have to stay with BT for line rental as we're locked in to a contract. I'd be grateful if anyone could help, wasn't sure whether to post this here or in the phones section, sorry if this is not the best place!

Broadband is exchange specific.

Look for the LLU options on your exchange, these will be the best deals.
A Freeview or Freesat PVR will give you everything that Sky+ did, and won't cost you £10 a month. Probably Freesat is the best option, as it will give you some HD channels, and you can use your existing dish and LNB.No free lunch, and no free laptop
