Discount for second contract on O2?

Hello, I have an iPhone on contract with O2 and my bf's old iPod touch just died and I want to surpirse him with an iPhone. My question is... can we get the contract any cheaper if I do it as me getting a 2nd one rather than him taking one out in his name separately?

Sorry but it's very unlikely. First it's amazingly hard to get discounts on any iPhone contract, and you need to be a lot more than 2 people to start seeing any discounts that would be worthwhile.0
