My son did it, got home at 5.30 am and will get a cheque for £125 less tax. They had to go to further recounts (local council ) and were told to go back at 9.30am, and he then got back home again at 6pm this evening, but he gets another £60 for that extra day before tax.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. yet another reason to sack a large percentage of the waste of spaces at the council. all those people who didn't even get a chance to place their votes due to incompetance at the polling stations. an utter disgraceMartin has asked me to tell you I'm about to cut the cheese, pull my finger.0

It was only a few places - one with 5000 students on the electoral register. Students being present/absent can really foul up turnout predictions - I was told yesterday of a European election which happened during university vacation, the polling station on campus had 14 voters all day.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -

Left the polling station at 22.12 last night*, here the No 1 P/O takes all boxes to the count, but I got a lift with him** and we got a bit lost trying to find out way out of the housing scheme.
Still home by 22.35 though and really ready for a lie-down and a cuppa!
*And I do not start my paperwork early, I just have it laid out ready, all the forms on top of their respective wallets/envelopes, everything organised.
**As I had to apologise to the count staff and get my box opened quickly as a postal vote slipped in somehowA kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0
