I am watching this thread with interest - Mr Piglet is a chef (and not here at the moment, but if you haven't had a recipe posted by the time he gets home, I will ask him to give you a recipe - with bloke instructions!!).
Rice and fish is great - I love kedgeree (I don't know what Mr Piglet's recipe for kedgeree entails exactly...I am a lazy non-cooking Piglet!!..., but I know its jolly good and very yummy!!).
Hoping we don't get as far as you getting stuffed...but I am with you!!!

Assistance gratefully received! And the whole object is to get me stuffed! If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

4 hard boiled eggs, chopped
8 oz brown rice, cook as per instructions
8 oz tin of tuna fish, drained and flaked
1 clove of garlic, crushed
salt and fresh ground pepper
2 oz of butter
1/4 pint of natural yoghurt (I use Onken, blue tub) or soured cream.
fresh dill, chopped
Melt the butter in a large pan over a low heat and stir in the crushed garlic
Stir in the cooked rice, chopped hard boiled eggs, flaked tuna fish and salt and pepper to taste. Heat through, then stir in the soured cream or natural yoghurt and serve very hot, garnished with the chopped dill.
If you are having one/two portions a day, just take what you need and add the cream/yoghurt as you need it, don't mix it all in one go unless you are going to have it all, the yoghurt will separate. The dill really brings out the flavour of the fish, you can use tinned salmon too. It's very good.
Reasonably quick to make, no faffing around.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.” - Oscar Wilde0 -
What Newleaf said...
Its whole hard boiled eggs...and definitely smoked fish (I have a feeling Mr Piglet uses smoked haddock - although that could be a concession to me because I lurrrrrve smoked haddock!!!).

Well, I saw your chilli MrBE and I should think that that recipe for 3-4 should be just about right for one portion for you.....
If you are buying fresh fish tomorrow then you'll need to cook it on Monday - could be a bit whiffy by Thursday!
Looking forward to this!0 -
