I made my compost bin by nailing together four half-price decking panels-it cost just under £16, iirc.
Beware of cheap water butts...I had one from Tesco a few years back and it just wasn't strong enough to hold its own weight when full...lean, bend, tip.....and there goes your water...
I just bought one of the 1000L cubes from ebay, and the cheap water butt has entered retirement as a potato barrel for the school gardening club...wish I'd bought a decent one in the first place.import this0 -
i ordered one from tesco the 100l slimline one is half price on tesco direct.
now i'm a little worried as above post didn't think it was up to the job!?:A Self-Employed, Divorcee Mum of Two trying to make it in the world :A0 -
Mine was a 200L one, bought instore for the suspiciously low price of £18. Yours is probably better.

I'd really love one of those tumbling composter.
I've had a hunt on the net and have found these ideas, just need to print them off and hopefully I can persuade the OH to make me one

What a brilliantly simple idea it is to roll a cylindrical composter/waterbutt/tub along the ground...no need for fancy tumbling composters or their expence!Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200
