What's Wrong With My Mobile??

My mobile was working fine this morning. I have a PAYG on O2 and pay £10 each month for 300 texts. I called O2 this morning to say my 300 texts had not been credited and I was being charged for my texts. The operator crdited them straight away but since she did the phone's stopped working. The battery is fully charged, reception is good, other O2 uses I know have no problems, my sim works in another phone but I cannot make or receive calls or texts. I get the message Limited Service and a picture of a phone with a red line through it (Samsung E530). I have tried to contact O2 4 times this afternoon and had to use the 20p per minute number because all the free numbers were for contract and the operators would not transfer me. After holding on 3 separate occasions I've still not go to anyone. Tried again just after 6 and now they're closed for the evening??

    it sounds like a fault in the phone. but I know there is a number for PayGo cstomers thats free, I think its going through dialling 4444. however will post it tomorrow when i get it for you.

    Have tried my Orange sim card in the phone and it works fine. I thought the sim card was fine but I have tried it in 2 phones (who use O2) and it doesnt work in them either. I have also tried my friend's O2 sim card in my phone and that wont work. I get the picture icon for o network coverage you cannot receive make calls. This only happened right after she put on my texts - could she have done something? The 4444 number is only for top ups.

    The fact that trhe Orange sim works implies thhat it is not a handset fault - good news :)
    If both you and your friends o2 sim card are not working, then it is more likely a temporary coverage issue in your area.
    I think its coincidental that it happened right after the advisor at o2 credited your account with texts.
    But you should definately call o2 again if its not rectified before they are open again.
    Incidentally someone on another forum was describing the exact same thing that yopu are experiencing earlier today with their samsung e720 on o2.
    Although i am on o2 and its fine, so not a national issue.
