What is the current cheapest broadband only for the area RG29 please
I am trying to organise this for my daughter/son-in-law using their dongle with limited time left and yes, I've looked at Martins newsletter and seen BE, but the phoe line won't support their's.

There are 4 exchanges under RG29, so you need to either name the exchange, give the full postcode, or do the samknows search and post the results.
The LLU providers on your exchange will be the cheapest. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
be or possibly plusnetthings arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back thenMercilessKiller wrote: »BH is my best mate too, its ok

OP said "seen BE, but the phoe line won't support their's."
ie presumably not on a Be exchange.

Doesn't appear to be any llu providers, so limited in relation to the best cheap deals.Move along, nothing to see.0

OP, you are on a Market 1 exchange at Odiham, so no LLU options unfortunately. Agree with before hollywood, your cheapest option is probably Plusnet Value at £5.99 for first 3 months, then £11.99. £43 Quidco cashback currently available. Bear in mind that this is a capped 10G service and they do practice traffic shaping.
The £5.99 price will rise to £6.49 on 11/4, so if you want to lock in for a year at that price, you need to get your MAC and sign up by then.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Thanks, yes that BE wasn't a viable proposition due the line. As Martins recent tip regarding Plusnet at £5.99, try as we might, there was no way either of us could make that work, despite numerous attempts.
As they are not heavy users, in fact some weeks they hardly use the net, I think they are going to wait for one of the ISP's to offer a tempting package that won't increase after a few months. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. As I explained, Plusnet £5.99 is only on a Market 3 exchange-yours is Market 1, so it rises to £11.99 after 3 months. You won't do better than £11.99 on a Market 1 exchange, because that is not far above what BT Wholesale charge the ISP's.
The 1 year cost is £125.88. But with Quidco offering £43 cashback that becomes £82.88, or £6.91 a month. No other ISP is going to undercut that unless your exchange goes LLU-which it isn't going to any time soon.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
I'm pretty sure I can negotiate my way through the maze of BB options, but I'm at the point of not having a phone line to my new place to begin with. Previously I used Virgin, and have a Vonage VOIP phone. My TV is freesat - all I want is a BB connection.
Can anyone suggest the most economical way to get a line in, bearing in mind I don't want a phone or TV.0 -
Thank you Macman, I will surely make sure they read and take note of your welcome information. There is one thing though. I've heard of Quidco, but I prepared to bet they will say "what's that?". Is there a simple reply?.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
