Hi guys,
I posted a parcel and it has been returned saying address incomplete. The address is the same as the paypal address.
What does this mean? Does it cost to resend it? What should i do as regards the buyer?
Any help apreciated
Thanks Paul

How long did it take to get the parcel returned to you?0 -
its taken 5 days to return it to me. The buyer emailed this morning asking had i posted lol and this is what happened when i came home.
Surely i will not have to pay again as i have copied the address straight from paypal.0 -
I have just checked on Royal mail and the only difference is the building name. According the royal mail instead of it being a name it is a flat.
however the numbers, street and postcode are the same etc so i dont understand?0 -
yes,but if its a flat does it have a flat number?0
-
the address i was given was for example
The Seaview House
29 madeup street
madeup town
m1 1mm
whereas on royal mail its
flat 1
29 madeup street
mamdeup town
m1 1mm
does this make sense? I'm not at fault for this am i?0 -
well if there was no flat number then you are not at fault
if its a postie who doesnt know the duty then they will return it as not known/incomplete
in ye olde days you have experienced staff who maintained address books for the duties
so inexperienced staff could check where people lived for incomplete addresses
those days are last now0 -

Mine don't care at all the one that does pay attention just checks the name and basic address against the COP, th edon't ask me if they are correct. If they did checkthey would have to check each and every one against the RM data base, are you really saying they are prepared to do that for a couple of dozen parcels per ebay seller per day?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. It used to be that if you sent something Signed For or Special Delivery then the computer would automatically check the address, but recently they changed it so doesn't check it against the database. Presumably this was because you could be sitting there for 15 minutes trying to figure out an address because it's not on the database, but it then turns out it's just not been added yet.
You can still ask at the counter for them to check an address against the database though.0
