Calls from Lanzarote to UK

I'll be travelling to Lanzarote in a couple of weeks and wondered if anyone knew the cheapest way (other than Skype) of calling back to the UK.

I'm on Orange but the phone is unlocked.

Buy a local international sim out there.

Vodafone passport: It costs 75pence per call but then you're on your normal tarif, so you can use inclusive minutes. Not a good deal for brief phone calls but good for long calls.
