I dont iron anything unless it really needs it, even work shirts are fine if hung to dry on a coat hanger. I have about 3 items that have to be ironed and they hang in the wardrobe and I only iron them if I need them :D

    Hormones
I went to the doctors last week and it would appear that I am ‘normal’ (wo-who, doing a little victory dance)…For those who are new to the forum, I have a condition called PCOS. I had accepted that I might not have children (lots of tears there :o:( ) but now, I am a bit scared but excited that I could actually have children .

My SIL was finally diagnosed with PCOS last yr and told that it was a miracle that they had their DS and to resign themselves to just having one child as there was no way she would be able to have another.....they took that as red, of course the GP knows best ....and her new baby is due in may. I know lots of people that were told they wouldnt have kids because of it and all of them have :) Keep your chin up, it will happen for you :A

Well I've missed this thread - it was SO useful in getting debt free, I hope I'm allowed to post on here so that I stay debt free? :o
Nice to see you all :money:

    Today I have/will:
    • do a wash at 30
    • update my banking
    • I'm going shopping for some new clothes but I've checked out for deals/coupons and cheapest suppliers.
    • Sort some stuff to ebay, and pluck up courage to list again - but after Easter as IIRC post sales can take some time :( and i'm away at Easter
    • I've some books to list on Amazon, but I haven't even taken myself off "vacation" from when I was away in February :naughty: so must do that
See, if I hadn't made a list I wouldn't have stirred myself to a simple action :rotfl:

Funnily enough i was thinking about the ironing situation the other day. I pretty much iron everything. Though a couple of years ago i stopped ironing underwear and towels. Looking at my ironing the other day i could have probably picked out a third of the pile that could get away without being ironed. So i will try that. Fleecy items and DD's vest definitely don't need to be ironed...though i know i will really wnat to do them so they look better when folded in the drawer.....have to stay stong!!! ;)

I turn the iron off for the last few items now after seeing a tip on here about saving the electricity! :D

    Hi everyone

Have been too busy to post anything at work so far today! :( Missing out on all the chat!

I too never iron. I find the clothes that need ironing end up at the back of my wardrobe, every now and then I'll pick them out and then realise they need ironing so put them back again! Survival of the fittest in my wardrobe. My aunt is the same as me and before she buys anything she twists it round and round and sees how bad the creases are - if they don't fall out she doesn't buy it!

Today I have £1 in my purse and payday is on Thursday - going to see how long I last. I have everything I need at home and am only coming to work (with my packed lunch) so i should be able to do it. I'm going to really, really try.

Was major panic stations yesterday at home after cancelling cc#2 - since I started working I've always had a credit card "just in case" (which later became my main spending means!) so it was so weird to cancel it. Obviously I've cancelled cards before but that's only been after opening a new one and transferring the same balance (which I never paid off) from one card to the other. This is the first time I've ever cleared one and not increased the balance on another at the same time. I know that's a good thing but I'd always (before my LBM!) thought of a cc as a safety net and now feels really weird not having that. :undecided It's also the first time I've had interest on a credit card. I've been a serious 'credit card tart'! I was hoping I could bargain a life of balance transfer or free for 6m etc, but wasn't happening and I don't think I'll get accepted for another cc just yet. Plus, I checked the snowball calculator thingy and whether I have a 0% card or 16% card the difference to clear it is only an extra month. I guess I can do that. I'm still on track for my original dfd of April 2011. (I'm secretly hoping I can get this down to December this year but not getting my hopes up - thinking is that after my wedding I can pay what I was saving for that and get it cleared off a few months sooner. Fingers crossed life goes to plan!)

Anyway, sorry for my rambling, just remember why the small things are important! I might start making a PAD to the evil cc#3. In fact, yes, that is going to be on my list every day from now on! Please pull me up if you don't see it on my list!

Today I'm also doing these small things:
    - taken lunch to work Tasty
    - will finish mystery shops Made such a mess of these I'm sure they'll never ask me to do another one again!
    - started a big online shop alongside meal planning Task for this evening
    - sorting the laundry Ditto
    - washing the dishes while the water is still hot Ditto
    - deciding what I can get mum for her bday in April Had a look but didn't see anything
    - making a PAD to cc#3!!! £5 was my first PAD (I'm sure they won't all be so grand!)

    Oooooh aren't we busy today?!!

Candy - good to 'see' you again, stay with us:rotfl:!!

I finished work at 12, thought I'd nip to Tesco for the few bits we need...halfway round I have a voicemail from school...knew it was about dd2;) So rushed back and picked her up - she has headache and varying between freezing cold and boiling hot....:(

And so much for a LSD....I did so well in tesco and spent £15 out of my remaining £18 grocery budget....then came home to an email from Argos (how kind of them;)), to say the trampoline I want is back in stock....cue quick purchase (£130 eeek) But, we used to have one in our other house, girls used it loads and I refused to put it up in this garden when we moved nearly 2 years ago. DD1 been on and on at me to put it back up so I gave in, but the old one has been in a corner in the garden in a box and is rusty, torn and horrid. Plus we didn't have an enclosure on that one....but now we do on the new one:) If it gets them outside more it'll be worth it. Their bikes are kn@ckered as we have nowhere to store them, all rusted, so they deserve the trampoline.

There - I've justified my purchase!!! (ALso I have £85 coming from Quidco so far this month, woohooo)

Ok, off to tidy up while DD2 hogs the tv:p
I really need to sort out a new signature!
