Gona place an order with Virgin broadband... But, a few mates have informed me about the Torrent downloads. A friend has told me that you are not allowed to download any Torrent files? I know they throotle the line due to downloads or what ever it is...

Is this true? I have tried google but dont get any solid anwsers....

The level of thottling depends on the time of day and the package you are on-the VM website will explain the differences.

Virgin's traffic management policy slows down most of the top 5% of downloaders and they can start slowing you down once you've downloaded as little as 1.5GB (depending on the deal you're on).

Total garbage.

All traffic is throttled if you hit the peak time traffic quotas which there is a link to in the post above this one
