Pay as you go mobile

Options
Hi

Can anyone give me some advise please.....

I want to come off my mobile contract (vodafone) as i seem to be on a really bad price place. I am thinking of going Pay as you go but not sure what the best provider will be for me.

I don't use the phone for music or web access.
I mostly text (approx 150 texts per month) with about 30 minutes of calls a month.

What would the best provider for me to move too?

Thanks

If you are determined on going PAYG, Asda is currently the UK's best value provider - 8ppm calls, 4p texts.

Don't rule out contracts though - T Mobile offer a SIM-Only 30-day contract, and for £10 you get 100 minutes and unlimited texts (via a Flexible Booster). It's brilliant because you only have to give them 30 days notice, yet you get a lot more minutes/texts than you would on even the best PAYG tarriff. The only issue with T Mobile, potentially, is there lesser-network coverage than the likes of Vodafone. I'm sure it will be ok though. Check out the deals here.

The Orange animal rewards scheme could be useful depending on the ammount you text, I can't remeber which animal it is. But one offers 300 free texts for a month when you top up £10. With a standard call rate of 10p/min
