Rudeness....

Is it me or are people becoming more ruder these days, not just other people but actually store staff.
I will always hold a door open for an elderly person if they are struggling with it, and then they just barge past you, not even a word of thanks! And they have the audacity to suggest that younger people are the rude ones....
And store staff who are there at the checkout talking about Chelsea who might be pregnant, sitting there chewing gum with her mouth wide open, all without acknowledging you!
Lastly its not rudeness but i absolutely hate buggies, where they take up so much space on the bus or train and then they have a go at the bus driver when a pack of them all cant get on the same bus.....it drives me insane and then they have conversations that usually involve several profanities.....ah well vent over....lol

I find older people as well are rude, I'm on crutches, lost count the number of times I've been pushed past, doors slammed in my face, not thanked when I've kept a door open or held the lift, or stopped to let them come past.
I'm not young I'm nearly 40.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
I cant wait till Im old enough to be like the people down here!!!Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0

Its pretty much common these days, there are still people who do say thankyou (young and older people) and the same for staff in shops but there are some who aren't very polite at all. Buggies aren't a problem for me until 1 day i will get my foot run over with 1 and i will hate them0

I agree with most of your post, people are becoming alot ruder. People rarely say thankyou when you hold a door open for them, people push past all the time and generally have a rude manner about them. (this isnt everyone of course) i think young people are alot ruder than old people, i'm only 21 but i see peple my age even a little older and they are so rude and disrespectful.
But the bit aboit buggies, thats just ignorant. As a father myself i find that comment a bit rude in itself, you where a baby once and may of gone around in a buggy. Mothers/father rely on buggies to get babies/children around especially when they rely on public transport. Surely the POLITE thing to do is to be patient with people who have buggies after all just because they are trying to squeeze onto a bus or get past you in an aisle etc isn't exactly being rude.11K Challenge

It wouldn't be an issue if more people used buggies they could fold up, and placed their baby on their lap, but many people have huge prams that take up all the space. I think the sensible thing to do would be do charge these people extra fare- after all, they do take up several seats and it isn't fair if a disabled person wants to get on and can't because someone's pram is in their designated space. As far as I'm concerned those seats are for the disabled, pregnant women and the elderly and if they need a seat, parents with prams should move.0
