paula i had thought of something similar ,with links to all your guys stores and money from the clicky think covering cost of web host ect. as surely if we are all on one site selling then at least someone would get a sale .i did one of the advent calenders this year and it was set up as a village where instead of hitting just a link you clicked on the houses ,shops ,so you see smirkentree might work lol
I love that idea as its different to other sites selling handmade stuff
    A virtual village
    Love it

  • ok, completely agree, think mine is feeling a little bit imasculated though. After a huge great big row at half 7 this morning (yep, just what I needed!), he finally spilled at what he problem has been the last few months, and guess what, its you lot! Appartently, I am never going to make any money, you lat aren't real, you are "poxy little virtual friends" that will never help me and that I am "wasting time on here, when I could be doing more important things" "like what?" well appartently "cleaning this place". Well thats put me in my place, despite the fact that even though I am raising 2 small kids and running around after him, I am expected to contribute financially as well, without using the computer, nursery or ever stopping cleaning. Oh, and now I am earning, I can pay all of the bills as he has been doing it for the last 2 years, well that must be why we are 9 months behind on them all ,and yes, I earned a whooping 32.50 this week, well thats going to go far, and him, well, he had a great week, earned £950 and BLEW IT ALL ON F**KING FISH!

Just needed to let of steam, sorry, I really am not having a good week, hope it gets better :(

Hugs Mummyandpaige. Men are crud (excluding the nice ones here).

I would never have done any of the things I have this year without this thread and the lovely people backing each other.

Paula - a lot of magazines have a website/forums attached to them for members so maybe combining a couple of ideas that have been whizzing around recently would work really well. love the village idea and have seen something a bit similar done somewhere else (around a different topic) that I remember liking at the time.

  • you are forgetting the endless pot of gold and the pledge for lifelong servitude :)

You are right Yukki, think he is just jealous as he has had 4 internet businesses himself, all failed and 3 landed him before a judge. I never would have dreamed that I could actually do anything worthwhile, and although it is small, I have achieved something that I never thought I could thanks to everyone here.

Just feeling sorry for myself as I stayed up to late again last night a DD2 thought that waking up at 3 was a good move, so she ended up in our bed and was laughing and pulling my hair at 5.30.

Won't moan anymore, promise, just needed to get it off my chest, he has gone out for the day (not to Worthing, thats what started the arguement) and I can just pretend he doesn't exsist for a few hours.

Big hugs MummyandP are you sure we aren't sharing a bloke as he does definately have a hint of my OH about him sometimes? He's the one that needs the reality check-ok for him beggering off out to sea and leaving you with the kids. I'm ignoring the comment about the dribblers as he is obviously just jealous that you have friends and all he has is fish ;-)

Can't believe he had the cheek to mention money after that bleedin fish tank fiasco!!
Hope you feel better soon hun, and remember...bogies are undetectable in Uncle Bens microwave egg fried rice....
