  • Lilac, can do you a truck load! DD1 has pilfered the iggle piggle ones though! I have 7 very large full boxes of kiddies books.

I am stumped now, got 1 asleep in her bouncer and 1 asleep in the spare room, oh well, time for a quick smoke, then better get back to filling the box of bits to EBay!

    Mabel - www.merkinworld.com £150 for a custom one!

Woo, the little monster is asleep after being a grump. Think he might have a tummy bug after some of his nappies earlier !!!

Will find some more stuff to put on eBay later I think.

LolMummyand P-yeah i saw those!! the definition of manky merkins!
My plain ones with the loop for charms are £25.00 and then £33/35 with charms. Still waiting for materials to make fancier ones. And still trying to write a description. Think I might write a short description and then have a bit elsewhere on the site that goes into more detail under info?
  • Mabel - good idea, a short description, then a section about how to use? Apply? whatever it is you say! They are a bargain at that price! Sadly, they are one thing that I don't think I will be buying, unless you do a christmas range with jingle bells for a laugh! (did I just say that???)

Nikki- is he teething? DD1 used to get terrible nappies and be soooo irritable when she was teething. Mind you with the amount of bugs going round atm, wouldn't be suprised if it was one of them.

It's possible, he already has 6 through. He's just being a grumpy lil poohead!! and he's not normally that bad. May just send him to his nana's for a little but tonight since I have an essay to write up.

Even let him have a very bubbly bubble bath cos he normaly loves that (doesn't get bubble because they dry his skin out) and he wouldn't cheer up. Oh 9 months old and moodswings already!

Laura - DON'T DO IT! If you really want books, then I know a place that will do you an entire pallet for that much. Hardbacks are harder to sell because of the mammoth postage charges. Trust me, I have 50 boxes of the bl00dy things! You can instantly write off the hardbacks and the novels for the bootsale, whatever you have left after that is probably all that will sell on Amazon or similar, and trust me, for the effort and amount of time involved, it really isn't worth it. I bought 78 boxes (over 3000) for £88 including delivery and am having trouble selling enough! If you have the space and the time, then by all means look into it, but I have neither (well not enough of either tbh). If you do have the time and the room, PM me and I will give you the details of somewhere to get them from a lot cheaper than that.

well i dunno if I'm a bit put of with that idea now but I will pm you lol.

Nearly done the descriptions just a few more items to go and they should be simple (hopefully)

This is the description I've written for the plain merkin:-

Beautifully soft faux fur merkin, all hand sewn with a pure white cotton backing for comfort. It features a white ribbon loop for you to attach a charm of your choice.

Then the ones with charms included have a description of the charm as well :-

Beautifully soft faux fur merkin, all hand sewn with a pure white cotton backing for comfort. It features a white ribbon loop which enables you to attach/detach the charm easily.
The charm is made with a beautiful blue Murano glass heart complemented with a blue Swarovski pearl . It is finished with a secure Sterling silver lobster claw clasp. After the wedding it can be used as a charm for a bracelet, purse or handbag as a reminder of the big day.

any good? there was a pic a few pages back Laura..not sure which page tho!

Have also done one for the er..belly chains? still working on a name for those...and the other halfs suggestion of beaver bracelets will not be used..lol

    This is the description:-

A beautiful waterfall of Swarovski A.B crystals hand linked together through Sterling silver chain. The longest drop measures 7cm.
This piece looks amazing worn low on the waist as in the photo or higher up just under the belly button. This piece is made to measure so please contact us for measurement details before ordering.

Difficult to try to get across where it should be worn without sound very rude...that is where Mildreds modelling comes in tho!
  • Still like the eye patch description! lmao at your OH! God could just imagine that!

ok, so this is the last one I promise! But maybe there is something in the idea of advertising to the nudists http://www.nudist-resorts.org/talk/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=686&whichpage=6

Laura - dutifully replied! Good luck!
