Well the birthday cake is finished - just! and even though some of it was done by candle light I am pretty happy with it!! I haven't taken any pics yet as camera charging ready for tomorrow, but I will and I will prob post on my blog as soon as I can!! so you will get to see Saucy!!
    To All Up Your Incomers.

In my boredome I have built a tool, which is only for the MSE Lot and I dont know how I can (within the rules link to it when its live on its own dedicated site)

    What does it do?

basically I got sick to death of searching ebay feedback profiles to find out what sells, now me being naturally lazyI though there must be a way to automate this, and I remembered a feature of the ebay API which could be used (legally) to obtain the information required to see what sells and what doesnt ;)

So I have built a system which gets this information, processes it and outputs a csv with a list of item numbers, item titles and item price - as well as the total sold from that powerseller ;)

If anyones interested in this I will buy a domain and throw a website together and give it to the Up Your Income crowd.

NLID that sounds very clever and I would be interested, very kind of you to offer to do it.

  • Hello everyone!
Hope you have all had a great Easter weekend- I certainly did! It was so nice meeting Munchki and spending time with her and M&P, I know I have made two good friends from this thread- amazing really, when you think about it!

I really need to get back on the making money bandwagon, I haven't really done much over the last week or so, I need to get listing again.

I will resend out the list of everyones links so if you want a copy, PM me please. If you want your links added (Blogs/websites/ebay/amazon/twitter/anything else) PM me with them please. Thanks!

Yay, hi Hales, thought you'd got lost in all the easter eggs :p

NLID, that sounds amazing! Can you not make a blog or something that is free to put it on rather than spending money?

Sheloves, Munchki, M&P, I'm very jealous at the lovely weekend you all had. Me and my couch and my tv did some serious bonding over the weekend, but I bet it wasn't as good as yours!

Right, off to bed I think. Night all

Due to the technology used, a blog would not work for it (Lots of behind the scenes processing) means that it would either need to be put on one of my existing domains - revealing my identitiy with so much easy I may as well publish it or shove on a cheap 5.90 domain from ukreg (I have my own servers)

I may put a small amount of adsense / affiliate adds on there to try and recover my costs - however I have no intention of charging MSE Users for the use of this.

I may however make another site to make use of this once its bug free

Argh, having a bit of a 'pamper sesh' and decided to get the wax out - ouchy!!

I know where you can get a merkin :rotfl:
  • Is it wrong that I am sat here looking through all my potential competitors ebay sales figures, and all its taken me is about 4 hours to get 4400 transactions and know what there higher volume items are.

I mean normally in business, you are guessing what your competitors are doing business wise, based on hearsay from suppliers who supply both companies and potentially customers - yet with ebay you can get all of this information if you want to invest the time.

Ignore my gone midnight ramblings lol

not wrong at all, only wrong if you work out that you cant beat them at their products and then realise you just wasted all that time
  • well i think its bed time - I now have 11,379 transactions in there after an extra half hour - so it can handle the data levels

The upshot of the last 4 1/2 hours is I know a fair few items I should be able to shift a lot of if I can get them at the right price and a reliable supplier
