Morning all. Woohoo, bank holiday weekend is here at last! Next door has about 20 teenagers having a party, which is why I'm still up. Can't really complain - I live in a terrace house and I hardly ever hear anything from them, and there is a single dad with 3 teenagers, so it's pretty miraculous!
I had my niece to tea tonight and she posted her first blogs! She is absolutely thrilled about it and I have a feeling she will be up half of the night writing her next blog in her "secret" notebook. She was even more thrilled that it means she gets her very own email address. She hasn't been allowed one before, and this one will be under supervision, but I think she feels very grown up (she's just 9).
I had a glance in her notebook when she was watching tv and was amazed at the standard of her writing. She has written some songs and they are really good. Apparently she has the music for them all in her head too. Maybe we have a budding musician or novelist in our midst -hope she remembers me when she's rich and famous
I'm loving doing my blog so far, I find it very de-stressing to sit and let my fingers talk. I've caught up with everyone's blogs and am really enjoying them. I was just looking at your kids doing the painting in the bath Jo, what a great idea! Not sure if my nerves could stand it thoughAnd Nixi - those bonnets are brilliant! Your little girl looks really mischievous
Just watching a Status Quo concert - haven't really listened to them for years, forgot how much I enjoy their music. Was watching Blur before that and felt the same about them too. I really must start listening to more music.
Ha ha, I just realised it has gone quiet next door - do you think I've frightened them with the sound of the Quo :rotfl::jI shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.0 -
oww, why did i just feel the urge to do 20mins on exercise bike ?0

Hey if anyone is familiar with Etsy. If you view your own item does it count as a view?
Ive just had 8 views within like a few minutes of listing an item on there?
I did click on it whilst i was logged into my etsy account. I know eBay doesnt count this but does etsy? Hope ive had 8 unique views lol. That would be great!0 -
Morning everybody!
I am soooo tired, DD1 decided to get up half a dozen times last night between 11 and 3am complaining her leg hurt, not got the foggiest as to why, but finally got her sorted, then the other one started. Tried everything to get her back to sleep, but nothing worked, so 5.30 I gave up, came downstairs, put her in her chair, made a cuppa, and what has she done? Gone to sleep! She is still a poorly little sausages. Add to that the house is full of cat fluff as Ben decided to beat the carp out of one o fthe others last night, the spare room is still full of boxes and the remains of dinner last night is all over the floor thanks to the cats, ooops!
Busy busy day, wish me luck, hope she likes me! Everybody have a well deserved nice long money making weekend! xx

Joey - I knew the paints were very washable before I let them loose and Its not a particularly nice bathroom so I was fairly relaxed. It went all over the lace but not in huge amounts and came off really easily.
Great to hear about your niece and her blog. sounds really interesting about the tunes and her songs. Does she play any instruments?
