Saucy, did you ever hear back from NOTHS?
  • Misi isn't brilliant, and as you said, Folksy just seems to sell to other sellers, so they aren't happy that the commission is 5%, which is more then similar sites like Etsy, Misi, Artfire...It's more because they won't say what they'll do with the money and don't have much of a plan, I think, and they have been promising certain features for months without working on them. And I find the boards tedious, it's just sellers telling other sellers about their sales, really. So I don't go on there much even though I could.

I'm in talks with NOTHS. They have an odd business model...I'm not sure its for me.

I wish there was craft fairs near me. I'm feeling demotivated today!

2cats.... good for you! I wish I could stay in my dressing gown all day but if I do it the kids do too, which means they think they don't have any rules...not sure where they get that idea from but hey! Enjoy the hols, I used to be a marketing exec for a holiday company so I used to go to tenerife three/four times a year..... on my own, apart from the work side it was lovely!!

Hey all, i want to sell my bags on amazon. Am having trouble listing them. Is there a guide anywhere that can show me how to list things?

I keep finding a bag on amazon and then i click on sell one like this which is wrong lol

    Thanks

okay... first things first...have you registered to sell on amazon? if not then have a look here...

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=3149281

scroll down to the bottom of the page....

if you have a standard account which is free apart from the fees of course, then you can only sell items that are already listed on amazon....

    its also worth reading this....

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html?ie=UTF8&nodeId=200458310

    and the fees

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/seller-account/mm-product-page.html?ie=UTF8&topic=200314070#learn

Apologies precious if you have already read all this, but from what I have read Amazon are much tighter on their rules and regs than even ebay....

Its worth posting / reading the amazon threads on the Ebay board on MSE too..... theres quite a few professional and amateur sellers on there

Even better, they are no listing fee and 2% commission. So I'll give that a crack, although no-one seems to have heard of any of those sort of sites (etsy, folksy, wahm) outside the immediate community, so until they start to get a higher profile they won't be brilliant.

Saucy, did you contact NOTHS first? I'm looking at different craft sites as I haven't had any interest on Folksy yet, was thinking maybe Etsy but am a bit put off by the whole international thing...xx
