yes thanks i always try and look on the bright side. for us we been on benifits now since 22nd december when we were both laid off from same company thanks to the banks in this country and government. for the last 3 months we have been literally flat on our backs with money that was were scraping by and it has been a weight off our shoulders as now we are better off - citizens advice has been superb and is doing all the legwork and paperwork for us they looked through our finances and they have said that we will not be expected to pay any more out during or after the bankruptcy as we were -£85 a WEEK everyweek and even after not paying our budget is only £3 a week after all costs so not enough for all the debts.:j:jDribbling my way to financial success:j:j

Can I see piccies when its done???hhhonlyfan wrote: »thanks everyone. daughter is finally home now from the hospital. They have no idea. white blood cell count was high but they couldnt place what it was. have given her anti-biotics to take to try and help but was really worried temp read 42.5 at one point that ambulance on 999 was called immediately. As for the bankruptcy its hard going but with credit as bad as mine and OH doesnt really have an effect on us (both on JSA, PAYG phones, renting from private landlord who has said it wont be an issue staying here as he doesnt mind as hes not a creditor. We couldnt get an overdraft, loan or credit card anyways so i guess on the flipside well start a fresh in 6 years times with new credit file)
Thanks to everyone for all the concern. It's been a rough week
Things are looking up now for you.... at least you have some breathing space now the the bankruptcy is sorted.... And glad to hear DD is at home...sealed pot challange #572!Garden fund - £0!!:D£0/£10k0 -
im glad things are looking up for you - im just on hold to a dca to try and make a payment to them
They do not seem to want to take my money from me so I can clear the balance. I was in a similar situation to you in december 2008, both myself and my wife worked at the same company and the company closed down. Unfortunately I couldnt go on jobseekers as I had a limited company which was used for some small affiliate marketing i did (made a loss in 08) and It takes 3 months to close em down.
This lead to me having two options - go bankrupt and lose the house, cars everything or slog my guts out self employed to push forwards - I chose the second option and am one of the lucky ones that im in no worse a situatin 15 months on. Everything was good till I lost one of my big clients and my baby turned up, every payment was upto date (ish) and the amount i spent on bank charges was going down.
Unfortunately the loss of a big client coincided with my wifes maternity pay starting and basically had left us up the creek - without a paddle.
Now I have managed to carve a couple of paddles I hope to get things moving and my debts cleared this year - thorugh hitting dca's with baseball bats£4142.49/ £131,795.91 - 3.14% paid off or only £129,608.80 to go!
Debt free by Xmas 2015: #182 £1955.38/£4435.51 (44.08%)

Current Balance: £106600.27 Estimated MF Date: Dec 2033

Same with my daughter everything was bang upto date then my DD came along and since then everything has gone wrong. I have a great idea for my local area but no funding to help me start this:j:jDribbling my way to financial success:j:j
