Hi nolongerindenial! Don't worry, just drop in and tell people or ask whatever you like related to the challenge. If you're just starting out, and don't have the £100, a lot of us got it through Ebaying things we have at home, or by doing extra work on an existing job/business. if you want advice or would like to come on and post how you're doing, that's great, there are others who do that every so often as they don't have time to read all the dribble and daftness. If you need motivation, or some searching questions about what you need to be doing to make money, or just a kick up the bum to get your Ebay listings or whatever done, just ask. It's all gone a bit mad since the beginning because ideas are forming and becoming reality, but this just shows you it's a good thread to join, even if you do have to skim read it lol!

Jenna, hiya :) thanks for commenting about the sulkies, did you write something cos I saw you 'liked' some of the posts? Don't worry, I'm not corporate-minded either at all, I just love the idea of a site where people can come and learn how to do what we've all managed to do and get positive encouragement and support. There are so many different skills between us that it seems a great idea for us all to work together on something. I'm lost beyond ideas and making stuff, but I'm willing to learn - at some point I'm going to go through past posts and figure out how to set up a blog and a website for the Sulkies, I'm a bit scared though!
If you don't have time to read the whole thing you can always skim, and if you need something important just post it in red and we'll see it :) how come you're up as early as me? I thought I was the only one on here at this time lol! xx

I was up early and tried to get on here to say hi - but children took over (my son wanted to practise writing, and I couldn't say 'no', not even at 6.30am!)

Nixi - my magic trick is Word, I normally have it open when I do my morning post and write my responses to the dribble I missed at night... and alakazam. I started using Word when reading this thread as although I use the links that Joey has. Someone might have given some good advice related to what I am working on - so I save it. Like the ideas for the wedding show that you gave me a while back, copied and saved the whole post. :)

Now I understand !!! Have you managed to think anymore about the wedding shows?

Amber springs mind, but I think Truly is a proofreader too (I am sure she is proofreading a friends dissertation), and Nixi.

Don't give me credit for being a proofreader - just like reading and being critical!! Will help if I can!! Another thing I am good at (self praise :rotfl:!!!) is re-wording technical jargon for joe public......... so just shout if I can help!

It just interests me. We have brought our children up so far without trying to assign certain things to certain genders but have to say that it does seem that there is a natural difference. Not that we force Dd to wear blue or anything LOL she's a pink girl through and through though Interestingly think she got it from DS as he was always telling her pink was the best colour.
Although my DS does love pink and fairies and sees DH washing hoovering and cooking as well as crocheting and sewing.

  • I am up for selling your book NLID - I'll sell anything for commission !!

that applies to anyone else too - I'll add links and recommend all day long for people - not a problem.

But if anyone also wants a business arrangement ( ie deliver leaflets and get commission on sales produced etc..) then PM me and I'm your girl !

I'm going to be looking for agents for my main business too around the UK - I have eventually realised I cannot sell to the whole of the UK on my own

I know a lot of people on here have busy lives and lots of work to do on their own stuff. However I am unashamed to say I have mountains of time :p
    VR repayment  £404  £156.02 PAID
    Airpods repayment £249 £185 £75.90 PAID
    Airpods repayment £144 £99.01 PAID

    Capital One £1400

  • Yes I have thought seriously about that, unfortunately whilst SEO is a great skill I have, My written english can be described at best, as completely and utterly poor :(
Anyone who has read my posts so far must see that :rotfl:

I have all of the material from an SEO Guide I coauthered somewhere for hte now defunct company, however it needs a lot of work to make it gel together and read as if there was one author.

If I was to affiliate it, I would offer 50% commissions to those that generated sales on the £25 book, giving a lot of people the ability to earn a lot of money whilst I can sit back and work on ensuring it stays current.

My written English is excellent - I'm actually a professional proofreader. I could certainly take some raw material and turn it into a readable book (whether I'd understand the techie stuff is another matter, lol). Maybe something to think about?
