Hi, I have done a search but can't find the answer, does anyone one know the time limit when to send the cashback form. Is it it 30 days from the onestop invoice or 30 days from the orange phone bill. Also some state its 45 days am rather confused.

Many thanks

Anita

The notes on the back of the claim form (I kept a photcopy for reference) say 30 days from the date of the relevant invoice. But it's not clear about which invoice is relevant!

I was connected on 14th Feb and received my first bill on 19th Feb. The rules are clear that I can't claim until 4 months have elapsed, ie. 14th June, but my fourth invoice was dated 19th May. This would give a ridiculously small window of just a few days in which a valid claim can be made before the 30 days have elapsed.

In the end I sent in my 19th June bill instead, and they accepted it and sent my cheque.

For OSPS, the first bill you get is a "line rental" bill, it does not constitute an "airtime bill" asrequrested for their cashback.

Hence you sent back June bill for cashback is the right bill.

Does this mean that I have to stay connected for a bit longer than 12 months to get the final cashback? Or will they accept a final invoice that shows the phone has been disconnected?

No, ring the network 30 days before your contract end to cancel, if that's waht you want.

    1st bill -- 19 Feb 2006 <-- line rental bill in advance
    2nd bill -- 19 Mar 2006 <-- 1st aritime bill or bill proves connected for 30 days
    ...
    5th bill -- 19June 2006 <-- 4th airtime bill (connected 120 days)
    ...
    9th bill -- 19 Oct 2006 <-- 8th airtime bill (connected 240 days)
    ...
12th bill -- 19 Jan 2007 <-- 11th airtime bill (connected 330 days), give notice to cancel contract

    13th bill -- 19 Feb 2007 <-- 12th airtime bill final cashback bill

Hope this make sense, if in doubt always ring their CS for confirmation.

im sure this is slightly incorrect, having read many thread about osps and also having just received (today in fact) my first cashback from them. The terms for cashback refer to exact 4 months and then sending whatever bill is latest.

So if you take a contract on the 14th feb then you must send the 1st cashback claim on the 14th May with a copy of whatever the latest bill you have is, plus your claim voucher (very important!).

A word of warning about osps, they really stress about the voucher they initally send with the phone and I'd recommend anyone taking a new contract with osps to check you have the voucher. They only allow you to ask for a replacement voucher within 7 days of ordering. I'd suggest if you did get the voucher to ask for one anyway just in case.
    ummm...
  • Yep thats how i did mine and got my first cashback within the stipulated osps 21 days.Im on my 2nd claimed last week and hopefully i should get that soon fingers tightly crossed.

So does that mean that the contract was on the 14th feb and the 1st cashback claim was 14th may thats means you would have 30 days to send it from the 14th may?

    Many thanks
  • You need to be connected 4 months (it should say on your OSPS paper work) before you can start your claim and after the start date of your claim, you have exactly 30 days to do so.
