If you wanted to, you could also try calling CCCS or Payplan and talking over the phone to an advisor.

If you don't want to wait for the debt counsellor and you decide you have enough info to make an informed decision about BR, you are allowed to go BR. The judge will ask you if you have taken advice (you have spoken to CAB already, but talk to another if you want). It's not a legal requirement to talk to a debt advisor etc. Just reccommended so that you can ensure you have crossed every t and dotted each i.

I have done a lot of research on BR and I know in my heart its the right thing to do. I'm also pretty sure that the cab will say i should too. I will give another company a call though. :)

    Hi Karen

such a shame you can't see anyone sooner.

I called National Debthelpline and I found them really helpful (even when I became an emotional wreck on the phone - she offered to call me back!! but I pulled myself together)

    Good luck
