That's odd, mine seems to cover Scotland

I've noticed on (don't laugh) EastEnders (why am I watching this garbage) that they're advertising brands in the little shop.... I thought BBC didn't advertise? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
I only watch some things every once in a while on BBC iplayer.0 -
Then I suggest you look a little harder. The BBC makes by far the biggest volume of quality cultural, educational and current affairs TV and radio programmes anywhere in the world.leveller2911 wrote: »There is no quality left0 -

I pay about ten quid a month for the BBC licence and get 2 channels of absolute crap. OK - with the occasional decent programme, which I normally miss, becuase I have largely given up watching TV. I pay about 20 -30 quid a month for cable TV (part of package), which gives me another 40 channels of absolute crap. If I paid extra I could receive another 100 channels of absolute crap.
You get the idea with that.
With Auntie Beeb I get radios 4 and 5 - which I like. Probably worth a tenner a month on its own.0 -

leveller2911 wrote: »Your so right,I mean at least with the BBC you get quality such as Eastenders,Holby,Casualty and not forgetting oodles of repeats far too many to mention.........The BBC is obsolete and is just a con to tax people at the end of the day. There is no quality left and you only have to look at BBC news24,when a story breaks they consistantly break the news at least 10 minutes after Sky news. I don't have sky either but prefer sky news ove the BBC any day.
As for the so called "Local" BBC its almost entirely covers KENT but little or nothing of Sussex(maybe nothing worth mentioning happens here):D
No good documentaries then0 -

All depends on what you would class as quality. Why do we see so many repeats on the BBC,especially BBC1 .I would concede there is some quality left but if your seriously suggesting that its value for money then I can't agree.
The BBC needs to concentrate on specific programming and not trying to compete with the likes of Sky etc on paying crazy money to celebs, the likes of Jonathon Woss is/was never worth the money he was paid and at the end of the day the Corporation couldn't sustain this.In paying wages like this they had no option but to drum down the quality elsewhere.0 -
