Eclipse broadband??

I've noticed on broadband websites/shoppers etc that Eclipse have improved their home packages, is anyone using Eclipse or have any info on whether they're decent or not?
Looking at the search I can't find much on them which maybe my first clue...!!

I've used them, brilliant UK non-premium rate customer service (I'm rubbish with the technical stuff, so needed help :rotfl:), reasonable speeds. Only left them because Virgin with cashback meant I was being paid £6 for 12 month's broadband :money:0

are you on 10/50mb cable broadband? I may be moving house to a cable area but read lots of bad reviews of Virgin Media broadband. Are they reliable?Mortgage free I: 8th December 2009!

I'm on 10Mb. It's fairly reliable, I'm sure I would have been perfectly happy compared to my friend's experiences with other providers, but Eclipse were much better. Ironically I can't afford to switch back as I haven't got a BT landline anymore *rolls eyes*0

Eclipse used to have abysmal performance. I imagine that may have improved but I suspect that their accounts department remains totally incompetent - they incorrectly deducted about £80 in total from my credit card in what appeared to be completely random and erroneous charges after I left within the one month free which they were offering at the time. It took me 3 months and the threat of a small claims court action to get it back.

One thing to remember though is that people are much more likely to leave a poor rating than a good one - visitors to sites devoted to broadband are usually there because they have problems.0

Eclipse have updated their packages in-line with the recent ADSL2+ (e.g. up to 24mbps) upgrade of BT wholesale broadband.
They are still pretty over-priced compared to any LLU provider, such as O2/BE, TalkTalk, etc... And also fairly over-priced in comparison to other BT wholesale providers such as Plusnet.

I use them not as cheap as some others but I've had no real problems and when I have had to use call centre they have been very good.0
